Copy Group Permissions

Script

Copy all folder permissions from one group to another within a filespace. Optionally creates the target group if it does not exist. Supports batch mode via CSV for bulk group permission copying.

Duplicates all folder permission assignments from a source group to a target group within a filespace. Useful when reorganizing groups (e.g., migrating to SSO groups) or when standing up a new group that should have the same access as an existing one. Uses the Groups and Permissions APIs.

Modes

  • Single mode: Specify source and target group names directly.
  • Batch mode: Provide a CSV with source_group and target_group columns to copy permissions for multiple group pairs in one run.
