LucidLink File Search

Desktop app

Find files and folders in a LucidLink filespace by name. Supports substring, glob, and regex patterns, streams results as they are found, and lets you reveal in the file manager, open, or copy paths with a single click.

File Search looks through any folder you can read (a LucidLink filespace, a local folder, or a network share) and finds files whose names match the pattern you enter. Results appear as they're found, so you can start working with them right away, even on very large filespaces.

Key capabilities

  • 🔎 Three match modes

Substring for plain text (the default), glob for wildcards like *.mov or project-?.dmg, or regex for precise matching.

  • ⚡ Results as you go

Matches show up the moment they're found. No waiting for the whole search to finish.

  • 👆 One-click actions

Show a file in Finder, Explorer, or your file manager, open it, or copy its full path, right from the results.

  • 🛠️ Adjustable

Turn case sensitivity on or off, include or skip folders, and cap the number of results for very large folders.

Who it's for

  • Creative teams looking for a specific asset by part of its name across a large shared filespace
  • Admins finding stray files for cleanup or audits. Regex mode makes it easy to spot files that break naming rules
  • Anyone who wants a faster way to find files by name on a LucidLink filespace than their operating system's built-in search

Nothing to set up

No API key, service account, or connection to configure. Pick a folder, enter a pattern, and see results. It works on any path your computer can read, including LucidLink filespaces you already have connected.
