LucidLink Network Doctor

Desktop app

Find out whether your network is slowing LucidLink down. Runs speed, reachability, latency, firewall, proxy, TLS-inspection, and VPN checks. A tray monitor warns you when your filespace session drops and new work can't sync, and keeps a 7-day history.

Is your network slowing LucidLink down? Network Doctor checks the connection between your computer and your filespace and gives you one clear result: pass, warning, or fail. Use it when files are slow to open, uploads stall, or a filespace takes a long time to connect.

It finds your filespace's storage and service endpoints automatically using `lucid status`, runs the checks below, and gives you a summary you can copy or export.

What it checks

  • ⚡ Speed test

Measures your internet speed, then optionally runs a real read and write test on your filespace. This shows whether the network is the problem or something else is.

  • 🌐 Reachability and latency

Confirms your computer can find and reach your filespace's storage and LucidLink services, and measures how long each round trip takes. Includes results from `lucid perf`.

  • 🔒 Firewall, proxy and TLS

Spots blocked ports, proxy settings, and security appliances that inspect and re-sign encrypted traffic, a common cause of connection problems on corporate networks.

  • 🛡️ VPN and routing

Detects an active VPN and whether LucidLink traffic is being sent through it, which can add delay.

  • 📟 Tray monitor

A lightweight monitor in the system tray shows connection status at a glance and lets you run a full check on any filespace. It reads the LucidLink client's own status, so it adds almost no load.

  • ⚠️ Session alerts

Warns you if your filespace session drops while storage still looks connected. In that state new work can't sync and can be lost if the app restarts, so the alert tells you to act right away.

  • 📄 7-day history

Keeps a rolling 7-day log you can export as a single file and send to LucidLink Support if you need help.

Works with LucidLink Classic (2.x) and LucidLink 3.x filespaces. The version is detected automatically for each filespace.
